Godshill village is high on the list for any visitor to the Isle of Wight! Stargazers Cottage is located on the outskirts of the village, only half hours walk away, either over the fields, via the bridal path or less than 5 minutes via the roads.
Famous for its cream tea rooms and gardens, the village is also home to the famous ‘model village’, a garden housing a fabulous old fashioned miniature model of Godshill.
The high street would not look out of place on a biscuit tin with its pretty thatched shops, 2 pubs and cottages.
A very popular pub called The Chequers is just under a mile away at the end of our lane. A firm favourite with families, friends and couples alike, it serves high quality food and drinks, including local ales. It has a large, well equipped, safe children’s play area in the garden, overlooking pastures. We love the twenty minute stroll there, all year round.
