Crescent nebula

Two nights ago I was out testing some of my equipment in readiness of my upcoming astro trip to La Palma in the Canaries later this month.

This is the well known Crescent nebula in Cygnus, discovered by the English astronomer William Hershel (Who is best known for discovering the planet Uranus) in the 18th century.

The skies were not good but I still managed to capture a lot of nebulosity all around the image.

Captured using my William Optics Z61 travel scope and my astromodified Canon 80D
