I have been working on this image for a while now and have managed to capture two out of the three channels needed to create a RGB colour image.
This is a close up of the Elephants trunk nebula in the constellation of Cepheus. It consists of the emission radiation of the elements hydrogen and sulphur.
I still need to capture the final radiation of oxygen to complete the image but in the meantime, I have synthesised the missing colour by blending the two elements I have to make up the shortfall. I am very pleased with the result and am looking forward to comparing this artificial image to the finished result once I have all the data.
